It was nice to get outside and enjoy the weather this weekend. My wife, Allie, and I went to the beaches of Lake Michigan and collected beach glass. We also went hiking at Richard Bong State Recreation Area. The first flowers came up in our yard, and we even spotted a groundhog sunbathing.

ART ROCKS! 🌈 For the longest time I was tired of getting tagged in painted rocks posts. Then I saw @artwithmrs.e post inspired from @teachingspecialthinkers I knew I had to make an alphabet myself! What a fun way to practice spelling. First I collected and cleaned rocks. Next I used acrylic spray to cover the surface. I also used regular acrylic paint to mix my own colors. You may need multiple coats. After the paint dried, I used a letter stencil because I don't have the best free hand typography skills. I used white acrylic paint for the letters it took around three coats. Last I used fixative spray to help seal the paint. You could also use multiple layers of polycrylic to add longevity. This set will be a gift for friends with some little ones.
